Let’s be honest, everyone loves pizza! If you’re one of those rare people who don’t like it… you’re crazy! I actually don’t like cheese or tomatoes but combined to make a pizza, OH MAN! Something magical happens when you top a delicious dough with red sauce and melty cheese. The flavors complement each other perfectly. I can’t say I’ve liked every pizza I’ve tried but there were only a handful I couldn’t bare to eat. These pizza biscuits are another story.
These pizza biscuits are soft and cheesy and full of flavor. The oregano and garlic powder really add a nice touch to the biscuits. These pizza biscuits are best right out of the oven served with pizza sauce. I enjoyed mine by ripping the biscuit into pieces and dipping it into the sauce. If you wanted to make these ahead of time just store them in an airtight baggie and microwave them for a few seconds when ready to enjoy.
I can’t say for sure that the pepperoni added a nice touch. If you know me, you’ll know I don’t consume red meat. My boyfriend however tried the ones I made with pepperoni and loved them! He usually hates biscuits because they’re so dry but the cheese added just the right amount of moisture. These biscuits are super easy to make which makes them great for a busy day.
If you don’t consume red meat like me or just don’t like pepperoni, leave it out and add a little extra cheese. They would be amazing served with a nice soup or a salad. My mouth is watering just thinking about it now. I don’t like cheddar cheese so when my boyfriend has his tomato soup and grilled cheese, I always have chicken noodle soup with grilled cheese made with mozzarella. Call me crazy but I love it 🙂
