I’ve had this idea for awhile. People are always eating donuts while drinking coffee. Why can’t we combine the two? Coffee flavored donuts are a gift from heaven. They’re the perfect breakfast treat for any coffee or donut lover. I actually used food coloring in the coffee flavored frosting so it would stand out more. The frosting would actually be a dirty white color.
Funny story about the sprinkles… It took me over an hour to cover these donuts in sprinkles because I’m cheap. Instead of buying a container of white jimmies I decided to pick through my Valentine’s day mix for all of the white ones. At first it was relaxing but then I just got frustrated with all of the sprinkles flying all over the countertop. I was staring at the sprinkles for so long that I think I temporarily went cross-eyed.
This week on Sweet as a Cookie I will be sharing a new coffee related recipe with you. If you’re not a coffee lover I apologize in advance, but maybe by the end of the week I’ll convert you 😉 Brew La La Coffee provides flavors for everyone. This week I will be sharing my favorite flavors with you. Friday there will be a giveaway for Oh La La Brands, so maybe you’ll get a chance to try some of my favorite flavors too 🙂
The coffee I used in these donuts was Sugar Cookie flavored coffee from Brew La La Coffee. Brew La La Coffee offers a wide variety of flavors. You can purchase their coffee on their website, TJ Maxx & Marshalls, and Amazon.
Donuts are so fun. Lately it’s been a weekly thing to go and get donuts on Fridays with my boyfriend. We recently tried a locally owned donut bakery. The donuts there were amazing! In my opinion they beat out Krispy Kreme by a long shot and so did their prices. It’s on the scarier side of the city so we won’t be heading there too often, but I’m so glad I got the chance to finally try them after hearing people talk about them all of the time. If you’re ever in Erie, PA I highly recommend Mighty Fine Donuts, you won’t regret it.
Every time I take pictures of donuts I like to challenge myself and see how many I can stack on top of each other before they tumble over. They’ve never actually tumbled but I like taking risks 😉
