There’s always that box of leftover cupcakes or that huge chunk of cake. No matter how many times you try giving the cake away at parties, some still remains. Instead of eating cake the next 3 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner… drink it instead. I know what you’re thinking, but don’t knock it before you try it. This cupcake milkshake is so simple to make. If you have all the ingredients on hand you’ll have one whipped up in no time.
You honestly just throw a whole cupcake in the blender with the rest of the ingredients and whiz away! Make sure you whiz enough though, you don’t want cake clogging up your straw.
Here’s a close up. The frosting didn’t fall off because the cupcakes were chilled, therefor the frosting was solid 🙂 The recipe for the cupcakes can be found here, I posted it yesterday.
If you were using a chocolate cupcake I would either use chocolate milk or chocolate ice cream. I’m sure the vanilla ice cream and white milk would taste just fine though.
My favorite part about this recipe is that it tastes amazing! If you like birthday cake ice cream, you’ll love this recipe. You’ll never let a cupcake go to waste again! If you didn’t have cupcakes on hand just use a slice of cake about the size of a cupcake, or even a mug cake.
Don’t forget the sprinkles, you can never have too many. These cupcake milkshakes would spruce up any party. Just imagine the “cool mom status” you would have if you made these at your child’s next slumber party.
Don’t forget to show off your awesome milkshake in a really cool glass with a funky straw. I actually wouldn’t recommend using paper straws (as shown above), they’re really gross to drink out of. I got both the glass and the straws at my local Target.
