My two favorite things combined into one great treat, bread and cinnamon. Monkey bread has always been one of my favorite treats but now living off on my own I don’t exactly need a huge pan of it. This recipe makes four muffin sized servings which is perfect for two people.
1 can Pillsbury Crescent rolls
1/8 cup french vanilla pudding mix
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract.
Preheat oven to 350º F. Prepare a muffin pan by spraying only 4 of the muffin cups with PAM or other like products; set aside. Mix together pudding mix, granulated sugar and cinnamon. Scoop a teaspoon of the sugary mixture into the bottom of each prepared muffin cup. Cut up crescent roll dough into bite sized pieces and roll dough around in the remaining sugary mixture until well coated. Layer each cup with bite sized dough chunks until filled. Once full muffin cups are full, microwave butter and brown sugar until melted (approximately 20 seconds). Stir in vanilla and pour evenly over filled muffin cups. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until center is cooked. Cool slightly and then enjoy!
