One of the most popular recipes on my blog is my recipe for strawberry lemon water. I had a bunch of citrus in my refrigerator so I thought I would make a new water combination. The lime really adds a nice touch against the lemon and oranges. If you’re not the type to love water you will surely love water after you try this recipe. If I were you I would triple this refreshing citrus water recipe because it will surely be your new favorite.
The water is a perfect pairing for a big bowl of fresh fruit. It would also be great to drink before and after a workout. It really wakes you up and makes you feel so alive. Adding a few ice cubes to your glass can make all the difference when drinking water. The colder it is, the more refreshing it feels.
I actually really love the taste of plain water. It’s my boyfriend who isn’t a fan. Hopefully this citrus water will change his mind. Personally, I think this recipe could make anyone change their mind about water. The colors alone make it more enjoyable 🙂
If you want your water to be super flavorful from the start, squeeze some of the juice from the citrus directly into the water. I personally like letting the fruit sit in the water and letting it flavor on its own. Just looking at these pictures makes me thirsty.
What is your favorite flavor combination, when talking about refreshing? Mine probably has to be anything citrus related. The flavors are always so bright and happy. Happiness is a big glass of pretty water… that’s my opinion anyway. I think I’ll go do my four miles while enjoying this citrus water now. Happy Sunday! 🙂
